Behar Center recognises the importance of client confidentiality, especially relating to the sensitive character of personal information shared when engaging in psychotherapy. We are adhering to the requirements of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation 2018 (GDPR). We will apply appropriate protection and management of any information you share with us. The information you provide will be held and used in accordance with GDPR.
Upon intake, and throughout the work with you, we may collect the following private data:
We do not keep any records of credit card activities.
We do not conduct any recordings of any sort during any stage of our work with you.
Any personal data provided by you will only be used for the following purposes:
On extremely rare occasions, we may be required by law to hand over records to state authorities. Should that happen, we will inform you, if allowed by law.
It is not possible to deliver professional counselling/psychotherapy if we do not keep any client records at all.
With the exception of contact details (which include your name, telephone number, and email address only, see below in this section), all sensitive private records are stored in one designated secured telephone. The designated device’s holder is Lior Behar, Behar Center’s owner, and he is the only person with access to that device. The device has a secured access to Lior Behar only, and it uses two different access controls for all personal files: face recognition, and file encryption. In addition to those two access controls, all records are coded and disguised in a way known to the device’s holder only. No other person other than Lior Behar has access to your records. There are no other records anywhere else. The device is with its owner at all times. We will not share your records with any commercial organisation under any circumstances.
We will not share any records with another therapist, GP or associated professional unless given clear permission by you. If you are one of our Employee Assistance Program clients, and we mutually agree that you will see one of out therapists, it will be done only after you have given a spoken explicit permission over the telephone, and please understand that in such case your permission cannot be recorded. In such case, based on your spoken permission, we will share some necessary personal data about you with the therapist we agreed upon. We will only share this information with the therapist via cellular or line telephone.
Contact details (your name, your telephone number, and your email address only) are saved both on a computer and on a telephone, both owned by, and permit access to, Lior Behar only. These contact details are saved in a way that doesn’t enable anybody to distinguish them from any other non-client persons, whose contact details are saved as well. There is nothing in the contact details that makes it possible to link them to private client records.
Please note that if you choose to send to us personal data via the internet, its confidentiality can never be guaranteed 100%, and in such case, you do so at your own risk.
Records are kept for a period of one year after the last appointment.
You can demand from us to see your records, to make changes in them, to destroy them, or to hand them over to you at any time. Please allow up to 7 days. Please send us such requests only via registered post to Behar Center, Velvarska 19, 16000 Prague, Czech Republic. For security reasons, we provide printed copies only.

Behar Psychology Center web site uses ‘Cookies’: small pieces of data send to your computer and stored there. They collect statistical data about your browsing actions and patterns, such as personal settings and your location. Using cookies does not allow us to identify users personally; we will only store data that you have specifically given us permission for.
